The Contessa is our authentic steel boned corsetexpertly made by trained corsetieres for a quality and pricethat is rarely seen today. This corset epitomizes elegance andluxury. It creates a beautiful shape and is surprisingly comfortablefor the amount of shaping and support it provides. Black duchesssatin with black ruffle trim at the top and black satin bow details andribbon tie front.The Contessa is a burlesque inspired designmade especially for curvier figures. The longer design throughout thetorso flatters the tummy area and gently pushes the excess towards thehip area for fabulous curves. The hip area is also boned which gives asmooth, sensual hip line. The outer fabric is a heavyweightcustom made Duchess satin, which has a slight brushed effect.This gives the satin a unique matte sheen. The back of the corset is100 cotton twill which provides extra structure and still allows theskin to breathe.For this corset we have used precision madehigh density German steel boning. There are 8 spiral steel bones and 4hard steel bones. The blend of spiral steel and hard steel boning hasbeen refined over the years to allow maximum movement withoutcompromising on waist reduction. The waist reduction this corset isdesigned to achieve is between 2 to 4 inches. At the front ofthe corset is a 12 long steel busk (front fastener). This too, hasbeen precision made in Germany and specially coated to give the busk alonger life span and increase its strength. The steel itself is highdensity and gives a higher level of rigidity than other types of lowergrade busks which may look stronger.The back laces up withstrong nylon lacing. Under the lacing is an optional modesty panelwhich can be pulled into place should you choose not to expose as muchskin under the lacing. We love to see the curves of a beautiful backbut if you prefer to cover that area, its up to you.There are 6 garter loops made for wide widthgarters. The garter straps are not included but can be purchasedseparately, along with the petticoat and stockings.Whetheryoure wearing this corset with jeans or out for a special evening werecommend getting dressed a little early. If youre not used towearing corsets, tightening the laces and hooking the busk might be alittle tricky the first time you try it. But the results are worth it- youll love itImportant Sizing Information This sizing on this corset is by waist measurement.It should be ordered 2-3 inches below your natural waist measurement.For example, a person whose natural waist size is 38 or 39 inches couldorder a corset of size 36 and could wear the back with a 1 - 2 inchspace, giving the waist a 2-3 inch reduction. Casual corset wearers cancomfortably reduce their waist by 2 or 3 inches.
